  • RCADD Back-to-School Resources / Recursos para el regreso a clases

    The Resource Center for Autism & Developmental Delays’ (RCADD) Virtual Resource Room offers back-to-school resources for parents/caregivers and their children with autism and/or neurodiversity. Resources in English and Spanish to help with a new school year include:

  • Ready.gov

    Ready.gov provides tips for building an emergency supply kit. The information is available in a variety of languages.

  • RefugeeOne in Chicago

    RefugeeOne welcomes hundreds of refugees through the U.S. State Department’s Refugee Admissions Program. RefugeeOne provides support and services to help refugees with the resettlement process and becoming self-sufficient. The Chicago-based agency provides a full range of coordinated services that include:

    • Resettlement services
    • English language training
    • Workforce development and sewing studio
    • Wellness program and dental clinic

  • Regional Transportation Authority’s Accessible Transit Information

    The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) coordinates the Chicago region’s transportation system. The RTA website’s Accessible Transit page includes information about how the transit system is accessible, how to apply for certification for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit services, and how to learn to use the system and achieve travel independence.

    You can also visit the RTA’s Travel Assistance Digital Library to access documents about these programs in English and Spanish.

    RTA’s Mobility Outreach Program also works with organizations that serve and offer programs to people with disabilities and older adults to ensure they are aware of their transit options.

  • Renter and Homeowner Resources from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

    The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPD) offers a variety of resources for homeowners and renters. Resources include information about tenant rights, assistance for landlords, mortgage assistance, rent assistance, utility assistance and more.

  • Resource Guide “When a Child Dies: Planning Acts of Love and Legacy”

    The loss of a child is never easy. The Funeral Service Foundation’s free guide “When a Child Dies: Planning Acts of Love & Legacy” offers guidance, support and inspiration to families saying goodbye. Topics include:

  • Resources to Help Children After a School Shooting

    The National Research Center on Hispanic Children & Families provides a list of resources to help parents, caregivers and educators support children and youth after a school shooting.

    Resources are available in both English and Spanish.

     

  • Rides Mass Transit District in Southern Illinois

    Rides Mass Transit District (RMTD) offers clean, comfortable, and cost-effective public transportation in Clark, Crawford, Cumberland, Edgar, Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Lawrence, Pope, Richland, Saline, Wabash, Wayne, White and Williamson counties. RMTD offers door-to-door and fixed-route services to anyone requiring transportation. RMTD also provides ADA paratransit services for people with disabilities who are unable to use fixed route bus services where available.

  • Rincon Family Services

    Rincon Family Services offers a wide range of support to individuals and families across Chicagoland. Programs and services include counseling, case management, violence prevention, education, and substance use prevention and treatment services.

    Rincon Family Services community programs also include:

    • Rental assistance and eviction prevention
    • Immigration integration
    • A construction pre-apprenticeship program and more

  • Rizal Center

    Rizal Center is a multicultural, multigenerational community and cultural center located in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. It provides a safe, welcoming space where Filipino immigrants and Filipino Americans can feel at home. The center offers food assistance, housing resources, healthcare access, counseling, language access and community advocacy. It also serves as a hub for arts, culture and theater.
