Menard County Babysitting Clinic and Parents’ First Aid and CPR for Children Refresher Class
Free babysitting clinic for junior and high school students and refresher class for caregivers on first aid and CPR for children
Join the Menard County Family Collaborative and Cafe Amulet for “Babysitting 101” and a short refresher class for parents on first aid and CPR for children on Nov. 1.
The classes will take place at Cafe Amulet in Petersburg and run from:
- 8 to 9 a.m. – Junior/high school course
- 9:15 to 10 a.m. – Babysitting course led by Town and Country Women’s Club
- 9 to 10 a.m. – First aid/CPR refresher class for parents
Future babysitters will develop their babysitting skills, while caregivers will refresh their knowledge of first aid and CPR for children.
Students will learn alongside their peers about the importance of safety and key skills for caring for children.
Caregivers will learn step-by-step what to in the event of an accident or injury. The short refresher course will walk participants through first aid and CPR procedures for children.
Our Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) team members will also be there to answer your questions and explain how we help children and families. Please stop by our table to check out our helpful resources.
The classes are free.
