Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center will host part five, “Building Out a Plan Using the Life Trajectory Planning Tool,” on May 21 from 12 to 12:45 p.m.

The 12-session virtual series will introduce Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC), a practical, family-centered framework for planning across the lifespan. Each month, families, youth, and professionals will explore one key CtLC tool or concept through:

• Short videos
• Guided discussion
• Examples of how families are using these tools to plan, connect and advocate for the life they want.

This session will explore the Life Trajectory Planning Tool, which supports direction-based planning for individuals with disabilities.

This session will emphasize taking small, actionable steps toward a meaningful, self-directed future.

The discussion and activities will focus on helping participants:

• Identify “good life” and “not a good life” outcomes
• Explore how fear-based planning limits opportunities
• Learn to reframe decisions.

The series will continue on Zoom each month from 12 to 12:45 p.m. on:

• June 18 – “Session 6: Building a Life Vision: In School and Beyond”
• July 16 – “Session 7: Using the One-Pager in the School Setting for Connection and Self-Advocacy”
• Aug. 20 – “Session 8: August -Connecting Your Supports Star to the IEP Process”
