Virtual – Advocate Children’s Hospital Sibshops for Teens

Free, virtual educational and activity-based group for teens ages 12 and up who have a brother or sister with a disability or chronic condition

Advocate Children’s Hospital‘s virtual fall “Sibshops for Teens” will kick off on Sept. 25. The monthly Friday night sessions are from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sessions will also meet on Oct. 9 and Nov. 13.

“Sibshops for Teens” offer peer support and fun, educational activities for teens who have a brother or sister with a disability or chronic condition.

Sibshops is a program of the National Sibling Support Project. Organizations nationwide run Sibshops to recognize and address the lifelong and ever-changing concerns of millions of siblings of people with developmental, health and mental health concerns.

Teens ages 12 and up can have the opportunity to:

• Make new friends
• Play games
• Share experiences, joys and concerns

The Sibshops sessions are free and take place on Zoom.
