Spectrum Sailing camps provide opportunities for youth on the autism spectrum to develop skills, socialize and build confidence.

Spectrum Sailing will offer its summer sailing camps from June 16-18. Half-day camp sessions will run in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or in the afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. at:

  • Chicago Montrose Harbor, 601 W Montrose Ave., Chicago, IL 60613
  • Chicago Jackson Park, 6400 S Promontory Drive, Chicago, IL 60649

Parents will drop off and pick up their sailors at the same time each day.

During each session, sailors will learn:

  • How to tie knots
  • Sailing fundamentals
  • Safety on the water
  • How to sail and have fun!

Spectrum Sailing camps are free to attend for all campers.

Register for Spectrum Sailing Camps and see more details. Please indicate on your application form whether you prefer the morning (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or afternoon (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) session.

The camp will enter completed applications into the camp lottery.  The camp will notify all parents by May 16, 2026, if their child is selected to attend camp. The camp will notify those not selected and place them on a waitlist.

The Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club hosts the Chicago Montrose Harbor camps. The Jackson Park Yacht Club and Chicago Park District host the Chicago Jackson Park camps.
