“Ready to Fly” Flight Simulation Event in Romeoville
A free flight simulation event for children and youth with disabilities
Do you have a child or adolescent with a disability who has never been on an airplane?
Join Lewis University’s Occupational Therapy Program for “Ready to Fly” on April 1 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Is your child or adolescent scared of airplanes or the airport? Maybe you’ve had a bad travel experience? If you’re avoiding travel or worried about traveling by plane as a family, this event may help.
Ready to Fly participants will practice:
- Packing a suitcase
- Interacting with ticketing
- Going through security
- Boarding/exiting an airplane
- Picking up their luggage
The event is free. Seating is limited.
Reserve your boarding pass by March 29. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
