Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association Day Camps
Day camp opportunities for early childhood, youth, teens and young adults with disabilities
Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA) will host day camp sessions at several locations from June 15 to July 30. Camps are held Monday through Thursday.
NISRA serves residents with disabilities in 13 communities in McHenry County and parts of Cook, Lake and Kane counties.
Camp registration is available in two sessions:
- Session 1: June 15 – July 2
- Session 2: July 6 – July 30
Families can register their camper for one or both sessions. First-year campers will need an assessment.
Campers ages 3 to 23 with disabilities will enjoy:
- Growing in self-esteem
- Developing physical skills
- Creating arts and crafts
- Making friends
- Learning games and songs
- Swimming and experiencing new places
NISRA camps are not an extension of the special education curriculum.

Registrants must complete their registration online through WebTrac or in person at the NISRA office during business hours. NISRA will not accept registration forms through email, fax or the NISRA drop box.
