District 186 “Community Back-to-School Event” in Springfield

A free, one-stop destination for District 186 staff, students, their families, and community members to connect with resources and prepare for the upcoming school year

Springfield Public School District 186 will host its second annual “Community Back-to-School Event” on July 30 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe in Springfield.

This free community event aims to help families prepare for a successful school year and connect with valuable resources and organizations from across the Springfield area.

Activities will include:

• Visiting with more than 60 community vendors and exhibitors offering resources and support for students, families and educators
• Exploring a wide variety of community services, educational opportunities and health and wellness resources and programs
• Receiving free school supplies and backpacks, food and treats (while supplies last)
• Experiencing interactive activities for children and hands-on opportunities to connect with District 186 staff and community partners

This free, one-stop destination is open to District186 students and their families, as well as community members, to learn about community resources and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Registration is not necessary to attend. Giveaways are available while supplies last.
