Event Type

A free overnight camp for children and youth ages 10 to 16 with Type 1 diabetes

Join Camp B.E.T.A. (Believe. Empower. Talk. Act.) on Sept. 19-20.

Youth ages 10 to 16 (in third through 11th grades) with Type 1 diabetes will have fun:

  • Hanging out with others with Type 1 diabetes
  • Building confidence and skills
  • Making new friends

Camp activities will include:

  • Hiking and orienteering
  • Boating
  • Arts and crafts
  • Archery and more!

Camp BETA is a free experience for area youth with Type 1 diabetes.

The camp is a collaboration between Southern Illinois Healthcare, the Diabetes Today Resource Team, SIU Human Nutrition and Dietetic Program and Touch of Nature Environmental Center.
