Andrew Craig Memorial Scholarship for Individuals with Phenylketonuria (PKU) and Allied Disorders in Illinois

Eligible individuals with PKU or allied disorders can apply now for a scholarship to an accredited college, university or vocational school

The PKU (phenylketonuria) Organization of Illinois is taking applications for its Andrew Craig Memorial Scholarship through Sept. 30 at midnight.

The PKU Organization of Illinois awards annual education scholarships of up to $2,000 to eligible individuals with PKU or allied disorders.  Applicants can use scholarship funds for school expenses such as course fees, textbooks and room and board.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Having a diagnosis of PKU or an allied disorder
  • Currently residing in Illinois
  • Being enrolled at an accredited college, university or vocational school for the fall semester

A student may receive more than one scholarship during their secondary education, but not in consecutive years.

The organization’s board of directors will consider all applications meeting the required criteria. Scholarship winners will receive an email notification and an invitation to attend the PKU Organization of Illinois Annual Meeting for recognition by the Board of Directors and the PKU/Allied Disorder Community.
