2026 Sickle Cell Conference “Coping, Covered & Cur(A)Tive” in Chicago
Gain community connections, resources and a deeper understanding of SCD and SCT management at the 2026 Sickle Cell Conference
Join the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Illinois (SCDAI) for its 2026 Sickle Cell Conference “Coping, Covered & Cur(A)Tive” on May 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Center in Chicago.
This one-day conference aims to provide a comprehensive overview of current sickle cell management strategies, policies, emerging therapies, curative treatments, and patient and provider perspectives.
Patients, caregivers, medical professionals, researchers and community leaders will explore and deepen their understanding of sickle cell disease (SCD) and sickle cell trait (SCT) through:
- Learning from key experts about emerging therapies and best practices in SCD management
- Hearing from patients and caregivers about their experiences with SCD and SCT
- Navigating healthcare and support services
- Networking with other families
- Discovering a wide range of community resources
Anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of therapies, resources and living with and caring for someone with SCD or SCT may attend.
General admission is $75. Tickets are $25 per person for individuals with sickle cell disease and/or their caregiver.
The conference will provide a continental breakfast and lunch.
