Free educational and activity-based group for children ages 6 to 11 who have a brother or sister with a disability or chronic condition

Advocate Children’s Hospital will host “Sibshops” for children on Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Chicago

Advocate Children’s Hospital Sibshops offer peer support and fun, educational activities for children who have a brother or sister with a disability or chronic condition.

Sibshops is a program of the National Sibling Support Project. Organizations nationwide run Sibshops to recognize and address the lifelong and ever-changing concerns of millions of siblings of people with developmental, health and mental health concerns.

Siblings ages 6 to 11 attending the Chicago event will enjoy:

  • Making new friends
  • Playing games
  • Discussing and sharing their shared experiences, joys and concerns

The session is free. Participants will need to register and fill out the consent form to attend.
