“Art in the Parks: Design and Fly Your Own Kite!” in Champaign

Decorate your own colorful kite and watch it take flight at this free event for all ages!

The Champaign Park District will host “Art in the Parks: Design and Fly Your Own Kite!” on July 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Robert C. Porter Family Park in Champaign.

Join this fun-filled afternoon of creativity and outdoor play for all ages.

Have a blast:

• Designing your kite
• Using markers, ribbons and other materials to make your kite uniquely yours
• Heading out into the park to see it soar

Bring your imagination, enjoy the summer breeze and get ready to paint the sky with color!

Materials will be available while supplies last. Seating may be limited, so feel free to bring lawn chairs.

The event is for all ages.
