A free event for women living with epilepsy, as well as caregivers, friends and supporters, to discover simple, supportive ways to pause, focus on well-being and build meaningful connections

The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago (EFGC) invites you to Women’s Community Day on May 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Stress, burnout and daily demands can take a real toll – especially for women navigating epilepsy and caregiving roles.

This day aims to help you pause, reset and reconnect. Participants will discover simple, supportive ways to care for the mind and body while building meaningful connections with others who understand the journey.

Activities will include:

  • Learning from trusted voices in the epilepsy and wellness space as they break down how stress, mindfulness and nutrition impact brain health
  • Participating in a gentle, accessible yoga and breathing session to help reduce stress in real, practical ways
  • Exploring hands-on how to nourish your body and build balanced snacks that support energy and brain health
  • Sharing honest experiences, challenges and what living well with epilepsy looks like in their lives

Participants will leave knowing it’s not about doing everything perfectly, it’s about finding what works for you.

The event is free and for women living with epilepsy, as well as caregivers, friends and supporters.
