Transition Resources and Job Fair for Individuals with Disabilities in Centralia
Learn about college and employment opportunities, independent living, recreation programs and more at this free resource and job fair for youth with disabilities and their families
Join the Kaskaskia Region Transition Planning Committee (Kaskaskia Region TPC) for the “Transition Resources and Job Fair” on May 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Irving School in Centralia.
This is a one-stop discovery zone for students and their family members to:
- Explore employment and education opportunities
- Meet with local and statewide agency representatives
- Learn about transition services and supports
- Discover recreational programs and independent living and services for people with disabilities of all ages
- Have fun checking out all of the possibilities!
Browse workshops, vendors and fun activities, including:
- A Kaskaskia College workshop
- Crunchy Friends; Carlyle High School
- KC Industrial Technology trailer
- Marion County Horizon Center and more!
Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) team members will be there to answer questions and explain how we help youth with special healthcare needs and their families. You can also pick up resources such as our Transition Toolkit, Guide to Adult Benefits, Services and Resources, and more. Please be sure to stop by our table!
