A resource fair with workshops and resources for families with children with developmental differences

The Chicago non-profit  Neighborhood Parents Network will host the Developmental Differences Resource Fair on April 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Quantum LEEP Academy.

This free resource fair is a one-stop shop for finding support, connection and joy for families with children with developmental differences.

In addition to exhibit booths where parents can get information and speak with therapy providers and representatives, the event has added new activities for 2026, including:

  • A keynote address and introductions to local providers
  • Parent-led round table discussions
  • Appetizers and drinks

Participants can choose from roundtable discussion topics covering:

  • Emotional regulation tools
  • Focusing on strengths rather than deficits
  • Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and school refusal
  • Sensory profiles and more

The event is free and open to any Chicagoland families with children with developmental differences.

To get the most out of this event, parents are encouraged to attend without their children. However, parents who have registered in advance and arrive with their children will not be turned away.
