Virtual – Advocacy Group for Youth Ages 14–22 Focusing on Transition Plans and Building Confidence

A free monthly advocacy group where youth ages 14 to 22 will explore their transition plans and build confidence for life after high school

Join Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center for its virtual “Charting My Course: Youth Advocacy Group.” The group meets on Zoom on the second Thursday of each month.

Enjoy meeting with peers, learning about transition planning and building confidence for life after high school.

All meetings are virtual and will focus on helping participants:

  • Understand their transition plan
  • Share their voice in Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Explore future goals for school, work and independence
  • Use CtLC (Charting the LifeCourse) tools to plan for a “good life”
  • Connect with helpful adult services and supports

The group is free and open to all Illinois youth ages 14 to 22.

Register on Zoom for the “Charting My Course: Youth Advocacy Group.” Spots are limited. You must register to participate.
