Infant and Child Safety Class in Springfield

Free, in-person class covering infant and child safety in your home, car, crib and more.

HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital is hosting its first “Infant and Child Safety Class” on July 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. The two-hour class will take place every other month.

Learn how to keep your child and your family safe!

Registered nurses will teach this free, in-person class covering the importance of childproofing your home.

Participants can ask questions and join the discussion covering:

• Crib safety
• Car safety
• Choking hazards
• Basic CPR and choking first aid (Please note this is not a CPR or first aid certification course.)
• Toy safety for children and infants

Anyone who wants to learn more about minimizing accidents and creating a safe environment for infants, children and others is welcome to attend.

Participants will receive a confirmation email the week before class with the location. Parking is available in the ramp at Ninth and Carpenter streets.
