    The Chinese American Service League (CASL) is a nonprofit agency with 40-plus years of experience educating youth, caring for seniors, training the workforce, placing immigrants on the path to citizenship and securing the housing and financial wellbeing for families and individuals in the Chicago Chinese community and beyond.

    CASL has programs centered around children and youth development, senior wellness and independence, employment and financial empowerment, community and family wellbeing, Center for Social Impact and legal services.

  • Chinese Mutual Aid Association COVID-19 Resources

    Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is a community-based social services agency targeting the low-income immigrant and refugee community. CMAA is also offering direct financial assistance to low-income families who have been economically affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The assistance can help those struggling financially with rent payments, mortgage payments, utilities, purchasing groceries or meeting other immediate needs.

  • Citizens Utility Board – COVID-19 Help Center

    If you are having difficulty affording your utility bills during the pandemic, there is money available for lower-income families.

  • City of Chicago Coronavirus Response Center

    Latest guidance and information on testing, public health department guidance, available resources, food, shelter and more during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • City of Chicago Rental Assistance Program

    The Rental Assistance Program (RAP) provides funding to Chicagoans who are at risk of becoming homeless. RAP helps Chicagoans who have housing right now, but who may become homeless soon because they lost income or had another eligible emergency which prevents them from paying rent.

    Please note: Applications are currently closed for the City’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), which is a separate program.
