Join the Regional Office of Education 21 (ROE 21) for Youth Mental Health First Aid training on Dec. 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This daylong Youth Mental Health First Aid workshop will equip participants with crucial skills for identifying, understanding and addressing mental health and substance use challenges in children and adolescents ages 12 to 18.
Participants will learn about:
- The signs, symptoms and risk factors of mental illnesses and addictions
- Listening without judgement
- Providing reassurance and resources
- Encouraging appropriate professional help
- Increasing mental wellness for themselves
