A free summer webinar series to help families gain tools, confidence and knowledge for navigating the special education system

Join the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) Parent University at Chicago Public Schools and Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center (FMPTIC) for this four-part  “Your Child, Your Voice:  Special Education Summer Webinar Series” from July 1 to Aug. 13.

The “Your Child, Your Voice” series will continue with “Effective Communication and Advocacy” on July 15 from 12 to 1 p.m.

This session will provide guidance and resources to help students with disabilities and their families:

  • Build confidence in communicating with educators
  • Participate fully in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Advocate for the supports your child needs to succeed

The webinar is free and is open to anyone interested in this topic.
