YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago Family Camp Nawakwa
Summer camping opportunities for families to share new experiences, spend quality time together and create lasting memories
YMCA Chicago Family Camps offer a variety of options for having fun, discovering the great outdoors and making memories together.
Family Camp Nawakwa offers a wide range of camping options from May 24 through Aug. 30.
This summer, Camp Nawakwa is celebrating 100 years of “Summer Under the Stars.” Special events will occur throughout the summer.
Families can participate in a wide range of activities, including:
- Gaga ball, bags, kickball, chess and other games
- Hiking and exploring nature
- Boating and swimming
- Tie-dyeing t-shirts, crafting, ice cream socials and more!
The camp features 34 cabins (North and South camps). Two cabins, Bridge Builder and Pines, are accessible for campers with disabilities.
Families prepare their own meals in their cabins.
