A free webinar to inform and empower self-advocates, family members and professionals to navigate essential supports for adults with autism with confidence

The Arc of IllinoisFamily-to-Family Health Information Center and Illinois Life Span Program (ILS) will host “Systems, Services and Setbacks: A Guide for Adults With Autism and Their Families” on Zoom on April 14 from 12 to 1 p.m.

April is Autism Acceptance Month.

Join this collaborative effort between Autism Speaks and The Arc of Illinois to build knowledge and confidence in navigating services for adults with autism.

Autism Speaks Senior Director of the Autism Response Team (ART) Andrew Nelson, EdD, CCM, and Community Outreach Professional Maddie Keating and representatives from The Arc of Illinois will discuss essential supports, service denials and how to fill the gaps with a focus on autism, including:

  • Why service denials happen
  • How the system works
  • Practical strategies to break down barriers
  • Ways to access support with confidence

The webinar is free. Self-advocates, family members and professionals will leave feeling more informed, prepared and empowered.
