Webinar Series on Transition to Adulthood – “Introduction to PUNS”
A free, four-part webinar series for families and educators providing practical tools and resources for strengthening transition planning for youth with disabilities in Illinois
Join Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center and The Arc of Illinois’ Family Advocate Program for the virtual lunch and learn series, “A Taste of What’s Ahead for Families and Educators.” The series will continue with “Introduction to PUNS” on Feb. 6 from 12 to 1 p.m.
This practical, family-centered webinar aims to help parents, caregivers, educators and professionals understand how to effectively prepare students with disabilities for life after high school.
Participants will learn about several core areas, including:
- Service and support options after an award of funding
- Preparation needed for upcoming PUNS selection
- Resources to help with planning, including advocacy and education by the Family Advocate Program at The Arc of Illinois
