Webinar Series on Transition to Adulthood – “Creative Secondary Transition Planning Using Charting the LifeCourse Tools”
A free, four-part webinar series for families and educators providing practical tools and resources for strengthening transition planning for youth with disabilities in Illinois
Join Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center and The Arc of Illinois’ Family Advocate Program for the virtual lunch and learn series, “A Taste of What’s Ahead for Families and Educators.” The third session in the series will cover “Creative Secondary Transition Planning Using Charting the LifeCourse Tools” on Feb. 13 from 12 to 1 p.m.
This practical, family-centered webinar aims to help parents, caregivers, educators and professionals understand how to effectively prepare students with disabilities for life after high school.
Participants will explore creative secondary transition planning using Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) tools.
Using the CtLC tools, families, educators and self-advocates can:
- Explore future goals for school, work and independence
- Plan for a good life
- Connect with helpful adult services and supports
