Join the Chicago Autism Network on Zoom for “Neuro-Affirming Care: Let’s Talk About It!” on June 26 from 7 to 8 p.m.

The term neuro-affirming care has become more prominent in our everyday language. Are you confused about what the term “neuro-affirming care” means or how you should apply it?

Board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) Alison Beauvais Carris hopes you’ll bring your curiosity and join this non-judgmental space to talk about it.

Alison will will help participants better understand:

  • How to use the terminology
  • How to apply this point of view personally and professionally
  • Which diagnoses fall under the neurodivergent umbrella
  • Ways that you can adapt this strengths-based approach with someone you love

Alison is the founder of Behavioral Learning, a clinical behavior analytic organization focused on helping individuals, families, and supervisees develop psychological flexibility and ultimately live a life they value. Her professional experiences have included serving as a graduate level instructor, community mental health provider, school therapist, behavior health clinician, supervisor, and counselor.
