Webinar – “Less Fluff, More Access: Plain Language Power Tools”
A free webinar exploring plain language, why it’s important and simple ways to make information easier to read, understand and use.
The Arc of Illinois‘ Family-to-Family Health Information Center and Illinois Life Span Program (ILS) will host “Less Fluff, More Access: Plain Language Power Tools” on Sept. 29 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Join neurodivergent leader and accessibility strategist Sydney Badeau to explore what plain language is, why it matters and how you can make information easier to read, understand and use.
Sydney will use real-life examples and exercises to help participants:
- Write in a way that helps people understand information the first time they read it
- Practice rewriting confusing text into clearer, shorter and more accessible language
- Explore using simple tools and steps to make emails, documents and meetings easier for everyone to understand
Participants will leave this session with practical tools they can use right away.
This webinar is free and open to people of all experience levels.
