Join this free webinar and discussion to gain insight from a father’s perspective on life, love and raising children with medical complexity

The Courageous Parents Network will host “In the Room: From a Father’s Perspective: Caregiving, Advocacy and Love” on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Fathers of children with medical complexity are often overlooked and underheard. Like mothers, they carry a profound weight — shaped by their child’s condition, and by the assumptions others may hold about their caregiving role, perspective or capacity.

Join this candid conversation about life, love and parenthood on this journey of raising children with medical complexity with parent panelists:

  • Kareem Edwards, founding partner and strategic advisor for The E.WE Foundation
  • Bud Hager, professor of psychology
  • Jared Kauffman, furniture designer and craftsman
  • Eric Stanczyk, teacher

Panelists will share their experiences, perspectives and insights on:

  • How fathers are uniquely affected by their child’s condition
  • Interactions within the healthcare system
  • Assumptions about fathers’ caregiving roles, perspectives or capacities
  • Improving patient care and creating more equitable, family-centered approaches

The webinar is free. Fathers, families, medical professionals and other professionals interested in exploring ways to improve care for children with medical complexity are welcome to attend.
