The Arc of Illinois‘ Family-to-Family Health Information Center and Illinois Life Span Program (ILS) will host “Guardianship and Alternatives for Adult Decision-Making” on Zoom on Oct. 23 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Bring your questions and learn more about guardianship with presenter Jayme Levin-Muriel, JD.
Attendees will be able to:
- Describe the different guardianship options and the alternatives to guardianship, such as powers of attorney in Illinois
- List what decisions guardians can make and cannot make
- Discuss options for managing another’s funds, including representative payee and ABLE accounts
Jayme is with Hahn Law LLC and practices in the areas of probate (including guardianship and decedents’ estates), general estate planning, estate tax planning, and trust administration, with a special focus on estate planning for individuals with disabilities.
