Webinar – “Driving for Persons with Disabilities”
A free webinar on driving requirements and readiness for self-advocates and families with a loved one with disabilities
The Arc of Illinois‘ Family-to-Family Health Information Center and Illinois Life Span Program (ILS) will host “Driving for Persons with Disabilities” on Zoom on June 10 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Presenter Nicole Thonn, MS, is passionate about her work in the driver rehabilitation field. She is an occupational therapist, certified driver rehabilitation specialist, and certified driving instructor. For more than a decade, Nicole has also been a CarFit instructor and a “We Need to Talk” facilitator.
Nicole will help participants understand:
- Eligibility requirements for drivers in Illinois
- Driver readiness indicators
Nicole loves sharing her knowledge and helping people with disabilities regain their ability to drive or become drivers for the first time.
The webinar is free. It is open to people with disabilities, parents and guardians who want to learn more.
