A free webinar for parents, guardians and caregivers of students with disabilities, educators, and anyone interested in smarter Individualized Education Program (IEP) advocacy

Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center (FMPTIC) will host “Confident Advocacy with ChatGPT: A Parent’s Guide to Smarter IEP Support” on July 17 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Join presenter Ali Hur Zaidi, University of Illinois AI and Advocacy Researcher, to learn how artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT can empower you to advocate more confidently.

This session will help participants discover practical ways to use ChatGPT for research, preparation and communication during the IEP process. Topics will include:

  • How to use ChatGPT to clarify IEP terms and processes
  • Tips for drafting effective parent input and questions into ChatGPT
  • Strategies for using AI to organize your thoughts and documents

The webinar is free and open to anyone interested in learning about ChatGPT for educational advocacy.
