Webinar – “Centers for Independent Living”
Learn more about the services and supports from the Centers for Independent Living located throughout Illinois in this free webinar
The Arc of Illinois‘ Family Advocate Program, Family Support Network of Illinois and Illinois Life Span Program (ILS) will host “Centers for Independent Living” on Zoom on July 8 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Centers for Independent Living (CILs) help people with disabilities:
- Access information for making informed choices
- Impact the direction of their lives
- Participate fully and equally in their communities
The Illinois Network of Centers for Independent Living (INCIL) supports 22 CILs across the state. Join speakers John S. Herring, Jr., INCIL executive director, and Megan Norlin, recruiting and training program manager, to learn more about these non-profit organizations and their goal of providing:
- Community-based, non-residential support for people with disabilities
- Independence in every aspect of their lives, including home, school and work
The webinar is free.
