Webinar – “Celebrating Multicultural Disability Pride Through Storytelling”

A free webinar on sharing multicultural aspects of disability culture through storytelling on digital media for people with disabilities and their allies

The University of Illinois Chicago’s Institute on Disability and Human Development, the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (IL LEND) and The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP) will host “Celebrating Multicultural Disability Pride Through Storytelling” on Zoom on Sept. 30 from 12 to 1 p.m.

Chicagoland Disabled People of Color Coalition (Chicagoland DPOCC) co-founder Timotheus “T.J.” Gordon, Jr., will offer tips on how people with disabilities and allies can share multicultural aspects of disability culture through storytelling on digital media.

T.J. will share examples of his work, including:

• His blog and social media campaign, The Black Autist
• Digital projects with Chicagoland DPOCC and the Institute on Disability and Human Development

T.J. is also a Research Associate II at the Institute on Disability and Human Development.
