STAR NET Region IV will host a “Virtual Support Group for Families of Young Children with Disabilities” on Zoom on March 26 from 6 to 7 p.m.
This virtual workshop will introduce Illinois families to the basics of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) in Early Childhood education.
Director of Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center Megan Mutti will provide:
- An overview of early childhood services
- Supports that school districts must provide
- The critical role families play as equal team members
- Planning services, supports and goals that reflect your child’s strengths, needs and daily routines
There will also be time for a question-and-answer session.
