Virtual and In-Person Adult Sign Language Classes in Chicago
Adult virtual and in-person sign language classes will begin in May
The Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) will provide Adult American Sign Language (ASL) 1, 2, and 3 level classes from May through June. The six-week classes will run:
- Tuesdays, May 12 to June 16
- ASL 1 at Anixter from 6 to 7:45 p.m.
- ASL 1 at CHS from 6 to 7:45 p.m.
- ASL 1 online from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays, May 13 to June 17, ASL 3 online only from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- Saturdays, May 16 to June 20, at CHS
- ASL 1 from 10 to 11:45 a.m.
- ASL 2 from 12 to 1:45 p.m.
The in-person classes will meet in Chicago at the CHS Office, 2017 N. Mendell St., Suite 3NE, or at the Anixter Center, 1945 West Wilson Ave.
The online class is open to adults anywhere who want to learn ASL.
Class instructors are deaf and communicate using ASL and written English. The classes will not use any sound or audio.
The non-credit classes are $120 per person.
