A free workshop for parents and caregivers of children with cerebral palsy and complex medical needs to connect with a “village” of support and resources

The Village Cares will host “The Village Talks: A Cerebral Palsy Workshop” on March 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library.

Are you a caregiver navigating the journey of raising a child with medically complex needs?

This regional workshop focusing on cerebral palsy and complex medical needs may offer just the support you’re looking for.

Speakers will include:

  • Theresia Davis, The Village Cares founder,  special needs advocate and a member of the Division of Specialized Care for Children’s Family Advisory Council
  • Bhoma Aravamuthan, MD, DPhil, FAAN, FCNS
    • Medical and Research Director at the Cerebral Palsy and Mobility Center
    • Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis

Participants will gain:

  • Medical clarity and expert insight on cerebral palsy
  • Practical tips and tools for caregiver wellness and self-care
  • Resources for raising a medically fragile child
  • Connections to grow your “village” and make the journey a little easier

The event is free and will include a free meal for all attendees.
