Summer Mindfulness Camp for Children in Chicago
Weekly cognition, behavior and mindfulness camp featuring interactive group sessions for children in kindergarten through sixth grade with autism and other developmental disabilities
The University of Illinois Chicago’s (UIC) Institute on Disability and Human Development is hosting Summer Mindfulness Camp between July 8 and 26 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Each weekly camp will have a different theme:
- July 8 to 12 – Around the World
- July 15 to 19 – Medieval
- July 22 to 26 – Superhero
Summer Mindfulness Camp offers interactive group sessions for students in kindergarten through sixth grade with autism and other disabilities.
Camp participants will learn how to:
- Focus, concentrate and solve problems
- Manage emotions and make wise choices
- Pay attention to their inner self
- Appreciate others and enjoy the world around them
The cost for each camper is $150 per week.
