Bring your “A” game and unlock new skills to level up your transition to adulthood at this free event for DSCC youth and their families
Join our Mokena Regional Office for its Spring Fling “Level Up Transition” event on March 26 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Do you or your child have questions about the transition to adulthood?
Take your future planning to the next level!
Youth ages 12 to 20 and their families will unlock new skills and power up for what’s next. Activities will include:
- Video games
- A nacho bar
- Adult crafts
Speak with vendors who will be on hand to help you level up your transition plan, including:
- STRIVE for Independence
- iCan Dream Center
- Suburban Access
- Cornerstone Services’ Employment Services
- Special Recreation of Joliet & Channahon (SRJC)
- Mokena Community Public Library
- Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) Vocational Rehabilitation
- Paratransit
You can also meet with your Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) Care Coordinator face-to-face and receive our Transition Toolkit. The toolkit includes checklists and materials to help youth practice new skills and become more confident and independent.

The event is free and open to DSCC participant families and their children ages 12 to 20 based at our Mokena Regional Office.
Please let your Care Coordinator know if you can attend. Walk-ins are also welcome.
