Special Olympics Snowshoe in Springfield
Dash or distance, Special Olympic athletes ages 5 and up will have fun competing in snowshoe “winter track”
Join Springfield Park District Special Recreation for “Special Olympics Snowshoe” from Oct. 20 to Dec. 15. Sessions will be on Sundays from 1 to 2 p.m. at Erin’s Pavilion.
Special Olympics snowshoe is the equivalent of winter track.
Athletes will compete:
- In short (dash) or long-distance events
- In the snow or on the grass, depending on the weather
Special Olympics Snowshoe is open to youth ages 5 and up.

The participation fee is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents.
