Sibshops for Siblings of Children with Disabilities in Elgin
A free opportunity for siblings of children with disabilities to make friends and spend time with peers in a recreational setting
Join the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA) for “Sibshops” on Feb. 21 from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at The Centre of Elgin.
Sibshops provide siblings of children with disabilities an opportunity to have fun with their peers in a recreational setting.
Sibshops offer children ages 7 to 12 an opportunity to:
- Meet new friends
- Share experiences
- Participate in a wide range of fun activities
Sibshops are for siblings of children with disabilities.
The event is free. Light snacks will be available.
To register for any of the Sibshops, please contact Mia Ross at mross@nisra.org. Space is limited.
Sibshops will also meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on:
- March 21 at Sage Therapeutic Recreation Center at NISRA
- April 18 at Huntley Recreation Center
NISRA serves communities in McHenry County and parts of Cook, Lake and Kane counties.
