Siblings of Children With Disabilities Workshop in Dixon
A fun and free workshop for siblings of children with disabilities to converse, create and spend time in nature.
STAR NET Regions I & III, Easterseals Chicago, Kreider Services and Lowell Nature Center will host a Sibling Workshop on April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Woodcote Cottage in Dixon.
Siblings of children with special needs ages 5 to15 can join STAR NET Family Resource Specialist Roseann Slaght for this workshop offering fun, education and peer support.
Siblings can:
- Enjoy games and activities
- Network and share important conversations
- Spend time in nature
Roseann has more than 23 years of experience embracing inclusive practices, finding ways to support each child and including parents as partners in the learning process. She is a parent of two adult men with significant disabilities.
