Sibling Summer Fun Playdate in Chicago
Free inclusive playdate with food, fun and resources for families with children with disabilities and their siblings ages 14 and younger
Starnet Chicago, Chicagoland Autism Connection, Leep Forward, The Arc of Illinois and S.I.B.S. (Supporting Illinois Brothers and Sisters) have teamed up to host the “Sibling Summer Fun Playdate” on June 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join this fun and enriching event to celebrate every child and nurture meaningful sibling relationships.
This inclusive playdate is for families with children ages 14 and under who have an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), Individualized Education Program (IEP), or a 504 Plan and their siblings.
Kids will enjoy activities and games from the Leep Forward team aimed at fostering connections.
Parents will have the opportunity to:
- Learn valuable techniques for creating supportive sibling environments
- Listen to a panel of siblings, spanning different ages, about their own experiences
- Receive practical tips for cultivating healthy sibling relationships and ensuring that each child receives the support they need
Plus, families will enjoy community connections, delicious food and exciting giveaways.
