Sensory-Friendly Winter Lights at Central Park in Oak Brook
Take in the lights and pose for photos at this free, sensory-friendly light display in Oak Brook
The Oak Brook Park District will host “Winter Lights at Central Park” daily from Nov. 21 through Jan. 4, from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Central Park in Oakbrook. Guests seeking a calmer experience can tour the display from 4 to 4:30 p.m. each day.
The sensory-friendly display includes:
- Slower or stopped blinking and moving lights
- No music or music at a lower level
Walk or roll through Central Park’s inclusive and accessible light show featuring:
- Thousands of twinkling lights and dancing trees
- Colorful rainbow arches and butterflies
- Musical hearts
- Photo opportunities galore!
The display is free and open to the community.
The event is accepting donations to benefit the People’s Resource Center and the Oak Brook Park District Foundation.
Please note that the display will close during inclement weather (heavy snow, ice, rain or lightning).
