Goodman Theatre staff are trained to welcome and help with guests’ needs. Guests are free to talk, leave their seats and enjoy quiet areas within the theater building as needed during the performance.
Other accommodations include:
- Lowering the sound level, especially for startling or loud sounds
- Leaving the house lights on low during the performance
- Reducing strobe lighting or lighting focused on the audience
- Limiting the number of people at the performance
- Providing space for standing and movement
- Sensory bags that can be checked out at guest services
