“Retreat Yourself” Weekend for Moms, Grandmothers and Aunts in Mount Carroll
A free weekend retreat focusing on fun and finding resources for mothers, grandmothers and aunts of children with autism and other developmental disabilities
Join Family Support Services for its “13th Annual Retreat Yourself” weekend on Oct. 25-27.
The weekend will focus on recharging, having fun, networking, and finding much-needed support and resources.
Guests will enjoy a weekend of “glamping” and activities, including:
- Yoga
- Candle making
- Zip-lining
- A Halloween costume contest an more
Cody Clark Magic will be the guest speaker. Cody is a 31-year-old professional magician and self-advocate with autism from Louisville, Ky. Cody will share his magic along with how:
- Autism makes him see the world differently
- He is helping others with disabilities become successful adults
- Differences are nothing to be afraid of
This free event is for mothers, grandmothers and aunts of children with developmental disabilities. Mothers will get priority at registration.
