PKU Organization of Illinois Family Camp in Lacon
Illinois Low Protein Camp for individuals with PKU and inborn errors of metabolism and their families.
Join the Phenylketonuria (PKU) Organization of Illinois for “Family Camp 2024” from Aug. 9 – 11. Check-in is at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. Check-out is at 10 a.m. on Aug. 11.
Spend a weekend at the beautiful Great Oak Retreat Center having fun and making memories with other families with PKU and inborn errors of metabolism (IEM).
Camp will kick off with a potluck dinner. The camp asks everyone is asked to bring their favorite low protein dish to share with the group Friday evening.
Activities throughout the weekend will also include:
- Swimming
- Canoeing and paddle boating
- Arts and crafts
- Archery
- A high ropes course and ziplining (for ages 12 and up)
- Fishing
- Bonfires
Family Camp is free for IEM campers. Family members are $10 each.
