“Pirate Treasure Hunt” at the Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle
Free Summer Saturdays at the Sensory Garden Playground feature fun, exploration and all-inclusive play!
The Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle combines sensory-integrated playground equipment with areas for gardening and exploration. The Sensory Garden Playground is autism-friendly certified. The 37-acre facility is under ongoing development as funding becomes available.
Join the Wheaton Park District for a “Pirate Treasure Hunt” Summer Saturday event at the Sensory Garden Playground on June 20. Summer Saturdays take place on the third Saturday of each month through Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Ahoy mateys! Gather your crew and get ready to embark on an adventure at the Sensory Garden Playground!
Swashbuckling activities will include:
- An I Spy Adventure at the Tree House
- Digging for hidden treasures in the sand pit of the Fragrance Garden
- Trying magnet fishing
- Designing and decorating a pirate flag
Participants will plant their flags at the playground to show all the pirates that came!
The event is free. The park district suggests a $5 donation per family.
