North Star Reach Overnight Camps 2026 in Michigan
A free, overnight summer camp for children ages 7 to 15 with significant health challenges and their siblings
North Star Reach is a fully accessible medical camp in Ann Arbor, Mich., that serves children with a qualifying medical diagnosis and their siblings.
Summer sessions are blended, meaning that campers with a variety of diagnoses attend camp alongside their siblings. This model creates a welcoming, inclusive environment where campers can:
- Celebrate differences
- Form friendships naturally
- Feel supported as a whole person and not defined by a diagnosis
2026 sessions for campers with a variety of diagnoses and their siblings will run:
- Summer Session 1, June 14 to 19
- Summer Session 2, June 28 to July 3
Experienced staff and licensed medical professionals work together to ensure every camper’s medical, emotional, and social needs are met safely and thoughtfully.
Eligible health conditions for attending the camp include:
- A solid organ transplant, including heart, kidney or liver.
- Congenital or acquired heart disease, including those who are pre- or post-surgical repair and those who have undergone transplantation.
- Epilepsy or a seizure disorder.
- A diagnosis of a neuro-oncological condition.
- Sickle cell disease and other hematologic conditions and anemias (excluding blood cancers).
North Star Reach Summer Camp is entirely free of charge and open to children ages 7 to 15 (by the first day of the session) and their siblings.
