Mañanas en el Museo / Mornings at the Museum in Chicago
A free, sensory-friendly opportunity for families to enjoy museum exhibits, the art studio and other activities
Join the National Museum of Mexican Art (NMMA) for “Mañanas en el Museo” on April 26 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Mañanas en el Museo provides a calm environment where people with sensory sensitivities can explore the galleries before the museum opens to the public.
Families and their children can:
- Learn and laugh together
- Use an interactive educational booklet to engage with the exhibits
- Get creative in the art studio
- Take a break in a quiet space
Sensory bags with ear defenders, fidgets, sunglasses and activity sheets are available to check out at the front desk.
The free event is open to people of all ages and abilities.
