A free, half-day session for parents, guardians and educators on understanding key resources and the tools available to support students with disabilities in preparing for life after high school

Join Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center (FMPTIC), the Illinois Assistive Technology Program (IATP) and The Arc of IllinoisLigas Advocate Program for “School Team Transition Success: Understanding Key Resources” on June 17 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Gain the tools and knowledge you need to support students with disabilities as they transition to adulthood.

This hands-on session will equip parents and guardians, school transition teams, and other educators with key resources and tools for supporting transition-age students. The half-day session will cover:

  • An introduction to PUNS
  • Medicaid Home and Community-Based Waiver supports
  • Charting the LifeCourse tools
  • Tips for having conversations about the future
  • Creative assistive technology programs

Participants can also enter to win an iPad door prize. The winner must be present to win.

The session is free, but space is limited to 50 participants.
